Watson Smith Type 423 I/P Converter

Watson Smith Type 423

Specifications:

Input signal: 4-20mA (two wire)
Output: 0.2 to 1bar (3 to 15psig)
Air supply: Oil free, dry air, filtered to 3 microns;1.5-3.5bar(20-50psig) or at least 0.7bar above maximum output pressure
Connections: 1/4” NPT female standard (plus two integral 1/4” NPT gauge ports); others available
Failure Mode: Faisafe (output pressure falls to
minimum on power failure)
Weatherproof IP65

Suitable replacement

We recommend the Watson Smith type 100X I/P converter as the most suitable replacement for the Type 423. The only noticeable different is the shape of the unit. The type 423 is slightly bigger with a body similar to the type 422.

However the specifications are almost the same as the type 100x with failsafe & IP65 rating so the type 100x is suitable in most cases.
